Windows 10 Enterprise installation failed.
Windows 10 Enterprise installation failed.
I recently transferred to a new NVMe storage that contains my Windows OS, and I used a flash drive to install Windows 10 Home Single Language from the official Microsoft site. My previous hard drive with the original Windows 10 installation remains functional and is running smoothly on the PC. However, a lengthy and frustrating conversation with Microsoft’s support team informed me that the reactivation code wouldn’t work. I then purchased a key for Windows 10 Enterprise at Kenguin in hopes of using that code to activate the version. Unfortunately, it didn’t succeed—the key wasn’t accepted. After that, I downloaded the Enterprise ISO from the official Microsoft page and attempted to run the setup tool, but the process frequently stalled during updates. Skipping updates (which I did because I’m unfamiliar with this new NVMe drive) caused the upgrade to halt at 65% completion without any error message. I tried resetting my PC to start fresh, but that also failed; the reset screen still displayed the same non-acceptance notice. I attempted to format the Enterprise ISO onto a USB using Rufus and then booted my PC from that drive, but Rufus didn’t handle the partitioning correctly, and the installation kept failing. I also tried launching the Windows Media Installer prompt in Command Prompt or PowerShell to install Enterprise as a standard Windows setup on the flash drive, referencing a video for guidance. I modified the activation code to accommodate the newer 2H22 media installer and even re-downloaded the original installer from the video when that didn’t work. The installation kept prompting me to restart the computer, but the warning persisted. Essentially, I spent $30 on a license I wanted to use, and Windows refused to process my payment. I’m feeling frustrated because I’m at the end of my skills in this area. Help would be really appreciated! My PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 MB, AB350M Pro4 GPU, 3070ti, 2x 16GB RAM, and a nearly full HDD paired with an NVMe drive (https://www.microcenter.com/product/6412...tate-drive).
You can look it up online or check the app store for Windows if you prefer a pre-installed option.
MS tends to keep their content behind a paywall. It's frustrating when you just need the ISO, since it would still need license activation.
I accessed the page, but it isn’t affiliated with any company using it. I’m only using it for personal purposes. The system is blocking me due to missing a connected business email address.
Sure thing... when you begin the setup and input the license, does it stop? Usually there’s just one image now that contains all versions. You can also switch to a different version and get what’s missing. With a valid license, it works, but sometimes legal tools aren’t available.
