No one has shared a method to adjust the taskbar or start menu colors this way yet. You're looking for a setting similar to Windows 7, where you can tweak transparency and color intensity using a slider. Your goal is to make the taskbar and start menu appear as a very light gray with about 90% opacity.
Adjust your task bar visibility and settings for brightness and other options at http://winaero.com/blog/winaero-tweaker-0-3-0-1-is-out/
It doesn’t display properly for me. The darkness remains unchanged regardless of adjustments. I need reduced color and increased transparency so “Hello!” is clearer. Regardless of settings, the opacity and brightness stay consistent. If you can’t locate “Hello!”, it’s located at the bottom left beside “Color and Appeara…”. Maximum to minimum: No change in readability.
