I own various SATA sables and have experimented with numerous connectors. Eventually, I switched to an old HP Envy tower; its specs match mine. Most components were replaced except the motherboard and CPU. The CPU is an Intel Core i5 4430, and after updating drivers for everything, I’ve kept the GPU drivers current. The HP tower has remained stable with no major issues. I came across this problem today, which gave me some reassurance. I re-downloaded the media creation tool, tried reinstalling and updating, but nothing worked. I’m planning to wait a few days before attempting again, as my HP setup is currently reliable.
