Hello everyone, after completing my 3700x + x570-e gaming setup today, I realized Windows 10 doesn't display all my CPU cores. It labels the 3700x as an 8-core processor but shows it as 4 cores with 8 threads. Is this a limitation of Windows 10 or a driver problem?

Could be a BIOS problem where SMT is turned off.

It appears the system is detecting four processing units and eight threads.

Task manager tends to have issues and isn't very dependable. Download cpu-z and review there.

In CPU-Z it displays 8 cores with 16 threads, though many applications operate using just 8 threads.

It was an issue with Windows that could be fixed using these instructions (source from another forum): https://forums.
