Windows 10 Creators Update causes display problems on Unicode screens.
I also grabbed onto the Creators Update update when I first got a chance. Everything seems fine, though Microsoft again turned some privacy settings on where they were off. Well, Microsoft, I don’t blame them too much for wanting to gather data. But then something happened: my two portable programs for image or PDF editing that included Simplified Chinese stopped working. I’ve looked at the system’s language setting and it’s still set to Simplified Chinese PRC. Anyone knows what’s causing this? And are there any fixes I can try? Sorry for the lengthy message, and thanks for any help!
The theory suggests a surprising outcome—your font checks passed without affecting any previously saved Chinese characters.
It doesn’t really solve your issue, but it appears to be a common concern among users who have Unicode enabled as their system language. There are multiple discussions on the Microsoft Community about this topic—check those threads for updates or potential workarounds.
