Following the BIOS update, the system experienced another crash. Crash dump location: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump. The crash occurred on Sun 02-08-2015 at 12:46:39 GMT, with a file saved as C:\WINDOWS\memory.dmp. Likely issue stems from an unknown module (0xFFFFF8007974498E). A bugcheck code of 0xD1 was recorded, pointing to a driver access problem. The error message suggests a software driver exceeded its allowed process IRQL level. It seems a third-party driver may have triggered this failure. On Sat 01-08-2015 at 19:49:14 GMT the crash repeated, now with a file at C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\080115-27406-01.dmp. This was probably caused by usbfilter.sys (0xFFFFF8004671498E). The same bugcheck code appeared again, indicating a driver update might be necessary. Search results recommend updating the AMD USB Filter Driver from Advanced Micro Devices.

After the chipset driver update, crash reports show dumps saved at C:\WINDOWS\Minidump. On 02-08-2015 at 13:01:57 GMT your system crashed with a file named 080215-28484-01.dmp. Likely the issue stemmed from the usbfilter.sys module (0xFFFFF80026CA498E). The bugcheck code was 0xD1 and the error message pointed to a high process IRQL access. This seems like a software driver problem rather than hardware failure. A third-party driver was identified as the likely cause. Consider checking for an update on usbfilter.sys (AMD USB Filter Driver, Advanced Micro Devices).

I reached out to ASUS, who admitted they couldn’t help much. The latest Windows updates support USB 2.0 but not USB 3.0. It’s fine because it’s still a USB 2.0 flash drive. Great news for the updates!
