Hello everyone, my dad's Dell computer, an older Optiplex 780, is running Windows 10. It has experienced some problems recently—like crashes and a blue screen with the message "(). After rebooting, it shows another blue screen saying "RECOVERY" and then "Error code : 0xc0000001," indicating it needs repair. It mentions needing recovery tools and asks for advice on fixing it. Thanks for your help!

Normally, NTFS FILE SYSTEM appears because of disk damage or bad sectors. I recommend buying a new drive, preferably an SSD, instead of an HDD. If the HDD is making strange noises, whines, or clicks, it means the drive has failed. You should stop using it. There’s no real solution; you might just assume the system files got corrupted. You’ll have to format it and reinstall Windows. (Connect the drive as a backup in another system before proceeding). Try to avoid it, or if it’s a bad sector, the system will attempt to repair it and ignore the faulty area. At this stage, I wouldn’t rely on that drive anymore, since eventually it will stop working completely. Possible fixes: 1) Faulty RAM could be the cause. 2) Security software might interfere. 3) Disk defragmentation stopped during system repair. #2 can be resolved by entering Safe Mode, removing security programs, and restarting. #4 can be fixed in Safe Mode by uninstalling chipset drivers or reinstalling SATA controllers. #3 needs checking your Windows, or plugging the drive into another system as a backup, backing up data, then returning it to Dell and formatting/reinstalling. #1 can be tested with Dell diagnostics, MemTest86, or the Windows Memory Tester tool on a recovery drive.

I attempted to restart the PC in Windows Safe Mode, but it still encountered the same error and stop codes. It seems the hard drive might be completely failed. You may need to consider data recovery options or replace the drive. It looks like things are not going well. Thank you.
