I'm facing a problem where the Flash Player Security update KB4034662 leads to the Nvidia driver crashing the system. Since I steer clear of Flash-based sites, I wondered if removing the software would help. The issue is more complex: I didn't install it myself—it's bundled with Windows 10 and auto-installs through the updater. Even if I manually remove it from System32/SysWOW64, or set a GPEDIT.msc policy to require admin approval for updates, the Flash Player keeps reinstalling itself. Plus, the security update is causing the same trouble. My current approach is to completely disable updates, but that feels risky because I don't receive any genuine security patches. The main question is: how can I stop Windows from installing this package? PS: I'm frustrated with the decision to hide updates, and it's frustrating that they didn't provide a better solution. EDIT: I reached out to Microsoft several times for help, but they've only offered fixes so far.

NVIDIA has no conflicts with Flash so whatever's going on is limited to your system. There really is no fix for broken, only workarounds.

Discussing issues on Windows 10 with a blue screen often involves checking system updates, driver conflicts, or hardware problems.

Notify NVIDIA and/or Adobe for resolution, avoid updating Windows until it's resolved. Easy.

These subjects are quite old and probably not addressing anything new.

We need to keep pushing forward. It would be simpler than getting Microsoft to allow users to choose not to receive certain updates automatically. I've even managed to get Valve to incorporate my ideas into Steam, which gives us reason to believe companies might respond if we reach out to the appropriate contacts.

Adobe doesn't provide a contact method; it automatically redirects to the community forum.

They have a bug reporter here https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html Worst case is you just call them up at corporate directly, cause why not? ^^

This keeps me looping back to the automated contact form, sending me to the community forum. The number is in the states—RIP phonebill because I’m based in the Netherlands. EDIT: finally discovered that bug reporter.
