Using the bean for a week after upgrading from Windows 7 without a full clean install has been smooth—no issues at all.

I plan to purchase a new PC soon, so I might reinstall it. However, I believe Microsoft should have anticipated these issues or provided clearer guidance so I could resolve them instead of just frantically searching online. This kind of assistance would be far less helpful.

I don't understand what's causing the issues you're experiencing. You've been using Windows 10 for a long time since an insider update, and you've only had a couple crashes after installing it. You're using it frequently and have no problems while browsing or playing games. It runs quickly and feels responsive—definitely great! Maybe someone else is facing different problems?

This looks like a straightforward picnic setup.

Most problems stem from drivers and third-party applications. If you upgraded a fresh Windows 7 setup, it should function properly except possibly with drivers. 1. Did you force the installation to complete earlier? This forces it before it was fully prepared for your system. 2. Several drivers weren’t fully compatible with Windows 10. Consider updating your essential drivers via the manufacturer’s site (key refers to network, sound, video, motherboard, etc.). 3. Manually apply updates for each third-party program you use.

I can't remember the post, but somewhere a Microsoft executive clarified why upgrades weren't immediate. Generally, if your system didn’t satisfy a specific requirement—like having enough users test with your setup and it functioned properly—installation would be delayed. Sometimes it took weeks before it became available. I even tried forcing an update myself. Luckily, after updating two programs and my network drivers, all issues are resolved now.

I think you're right, I'm refreshing all the "key" drivers I could locate for my MoBo (sound, lan, GPU, etc.) so I'm hoping it gets fixed. I know the UI looks nice and the performance is smooth, but I admit I was really enjoying it until the recent crashes.
