I upgraded to Windows 10 and decided to reset my PC because I intended a clean install but didn’t. Now something is broken and I’m stuck in a boot loop with the error saying INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. The solutions I’ve tried through extensive research are: 1. Switch to IDE or RAID 2. Use Windows 10 recovery. 3. Go back to Windows 7 and upgrade. 4. Perform a clean install from USB. Changing to IDE or RAID didn’t work as expected, and I can’t locate a functional Windows 10 recovery ISO. Going back to Windows 7 isn’t an option since Microsoft no longer offers ISO files and I don’t have a disc. That leaves me with a clean installation of Windows 10. I followed Microsoft’s instructions and installed it from a USB drive. When I tried the installation, my first problem was a product key—I no longer have a copy. That’s okay; there’s an option to skip that step, and I’m confident Microsoft can help resolve it. Then I was presented with the choice to upgrade or install. Choosing install means none of my partitions are usable for Windows. I’m now in a tough spot. Selecting upgrade started the process, but I must remove the USB and restart my PC to finish. Doing so brings up the most frustrating “Sad" and INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. I’ve been stuck here for hours—please help me, please!

It seems the system isn't locating an operating system during startup. After trying a different installation method and proceeding with Windows 10, I’ve marked this issue as resolved.

I experienced it frequently in beta testing. Usually led to a smooth installation afterward...
