I'll trust what I see. It was the same with the mantle—many games are getting support for it! And look at how that turned out. Yes, DX12 will likely become more popular over time, but if they extend support to W7 and W8, well then... For me, upgrading to W10 means losing just one reason.

Win 10 is available for just one year, but offering zero euros makes it a very attractive deal.

Besides being free, that’s not important to me. Why would I switch? DX12 titles aren’t available. And I can’t even use them, my 6950 doesn’t support DX12. I won’t upgrade until there’s a card with genuine 100% DX12 compatibility, which isn’t happening right now. So, aside from DX12, maybe for later, why would I stop using W7? It supports four monitors, something W10 can’t do. I don’t understand, but it just doesn’t work. I really don’t see a reason to change...

win 10 offers faster startup times. You can continue using win 10 until you get a graphics card that supports DX12, which would let you spend about $100 more on the card instead of repeatedly purchasing Windows updates to enable DX12 support. Also, win 10 won’t drop first-party features anytime soon, unlike win 7 which will disappear soon as Microsoft pushes everyone to win 10. The multi-monitor compatibility is disappointing, but I believe win 10 now supports at least three monitors. This change at launch messed everything up and made the task bar too large with no shrinking option.

I have four monitors set up, and I’m happy with the setup. My system runs on an SSD, which keeps boot times quick. W7 support will last about five years, so I’m not overly concerned. It’s possible that in five years Microsoft might switch to a new version like W11, but for now it works fine. If I really need W10, I can clone my old HDD and upgrade whenever I want. (I did that, but ran into some problems, so I rolled back to W7 and it still functions.)

You're thinking about fixing the flat tire issue instead of ignoring it. It's smart to address problems directly rather than relying on temporary fixes. Resetting your phone settings isn't a reliable solution for most issues. Just remember, you've already shared this enough.
