Hello, I'm working on figuring out why your PC freezes or lags unexpectedly even when idle. You tried checking Task Manager and still can't pinpoint the cause. Could you share more details from the screenshot? Also, let me know if you notice any specific symptoms or patterns before it happens. This will help decide whether the issue is hardware-related or tied to Windows 10.

Start with the hardware issues first. Attempt to boot in Safe Mode.

Hello! You mentioned it was cold when idle, correct? In safe mode should it still behave that way? Otherwise, the problem might relate to Windows or software. Perhaps a background app is causing the issue. If it persists, it likely points to a hardware concern.

That's correct. You might attempt an offline DISM repair using a new Windows ISO, or simply perform a complete Windows reinstall to avoid the problem related to software.
