It seems Windows 10 is consistently reverting my PC to the balanced power plan, no matter what I do. I've already checked the registry settings, but it still returns to that setting.

I don't have personal ownership details, but I can help you find information about W10 versions if you provide more context or clarify your question.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro, version 1607 (build 14393.1066). If it works, it must have downloaded on its own.

You’re using the Pro edition. Navigate to the start menu or search bar and enter gpedit.msc. Locate the power option in group policy (local settings, not domain-connected), adjust the configuration as needed, and save. After that, open Command Prompt with admin privileges, run "gpupdate /force," and restart your machine. This ensures your computer follows the correct power plan settings.

You seem to be missing the creators update. Make sure you configure your power plan correctly in regedit.

You see two alerts when launching gpedit.msc, followed by the Local Group Policy Editor appearing.

I performed that action. It didn't function properly. I'm about to attempt the @NinJake fix. I'll follow up in this discussion if further problems arise. Appreciate the assistance!
