Windows 10 appears to run slowly following a fresh installation.
Hello. After a fresh Windows 10 setup, everything feels a bit sluggish. Launching the system, loading bars, opening windows, dragging icons across the taskbar all seem to lag slightly. It’s not the same as before the install, and I’ve had this issue multiple times. Despite having the latest version, CPU and GPU performance are normal. I’ve installed drivers, removed them a few times, but the problem persists. My hardware specs are solid: i7-6700K (4.5 GHz), GTX 1080, 16 GB Corsair DDR4, 800W Bequiet planar, PSU, 500 GB EVO SSD, and 1 TB HDD. Any suggestions?
I checked my RAM and everything appears to be functioning properly. Perhaps it would help to organize things in this way: All systems are operational, though performance isn't optimal and I'm unsure of the cause.
Did you verify the background processes during startup? Sometimes Windows 10 launches Edge without a clear purpose. Turning off HPET, unless you're certain about it, could provide relief.
