Hey everyone, I’m checking if Firewire PCI-E add-in cards work with Windows 10. I’ve heard some problems with older versions like 8/8.1, so I want to confirm it’s still supported now.

Check for available Windows 7 drivers. Modern ports like Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0 have largely superseded older technologies such as FireWire.

I don’t have the card right now—it was just a concept I had, for running audio/video gear. Using legacy drivers might work.
