Windows 10 alerts leading to reduced frame rates
I understand you don’t want to turn off features that are helpful, like Twitch notifications or malware detection. When Overwatch runs and a popup appears, your game’s frame rate drops temporarily. There might be ways to stabilize it without disabling those services—checking settings, adjusting resource limits, or updating drivers could help. Let me know if you’d like guidance on any of these steps.
If what @WereCat mentioned isn't enough, you can disable alerts by using the "quiet hours" option when launching a game. Click right-click on the notification or Action Centre icon in the taskbar and choose "turn quiet hours on." After use, right-click again to switch it off. As long as quiet hours are active, notifications will still appear without interruptions. Windows won't slow you down. When you disable them, all alerts will show together at once, ensuring you don’t miss anything.
