During installation, I linked two HDDs but after a few days removing one left my PC unable to start (the other was untouched). I suspect the Windows installation created a boot file on the second drive. To move that boot file to the primary drive without reinstalling Windows, I need to transfer it manually. I should disconnect the secondary drive and use external tools or a USB stick to copy the necessary files.

Could these conditions extend the boot process duration?

Occasionally it happens. That's why it's recommended to connect only the desired drive for booting. The boot time variation is minimal since the bootloader and initial files are small. All drives and applications reside on the C volume.
