Uncertain about your question, but after a full reinstall on an SSD, why would you require the older Windows files on your HDD? It feels like two separate systems if they're on different drives.

Reinstalling Windows on your SSD won’t delete the operating system from your hard drive. The OS remains installed on the existing drive.

Avoid changing settings unless you organize the drive or remove HDD files differently. Make sure to set the SSD as the boot device in BIOS, otherwise it may still start from the HDD.

You mount the new SSD while disconnecting the old HDD, keeping it intact. After that, you can wipe all data from the old HDD.

it seems we share similar ideas, i believe the talks should focus on real installations—not just copying files, since that won’t achieve the desired outcome.
