You're asking about changing the window sizes back to their standard settings. This means returning them to the default values defined for the application or system.

You can reset the window size by closing and reopening File Explorer, or use the built-in settings to adjust it.

Ensure it is closed and then reopened, the application should return to its original dimensions.

I've often thought about this too, there seems to be some strange behavior happening behind the scenes—windows seem to remember their size and position, but it's not very consistent. Plus, shifting windows on different monitors creates some frustrating issues. My computer tends to open windows that are just a little bit wide and tall, as if it's trying to match how I left them.

There isn’t much online information about it, but a batch file exists for Windows 7. It doesn’t seem to help with Windows 10. Resetting window size and position back to defaults might involve a registry tweak or a similar workaround.

Choose either [control] plus a sign or [control] combined with a scrolling wheel movement.
