I don’t have access to current offers, but you can explore official promotions or consider free trials from reputable sources. Always verify the legitimacy to avoid scams.

You have the right to explore through your school. Doing so outside of it is not allowed.

The complimentary upgrade ended in August. You need to spend $119 USD to upgrade properly.

You are a learner, and your institution is part of Microsoft Imagine Premium (previously DreamSpark Premium, formerly MSDNAA). Within it, Windows 10 is ready for download at no cost. For details on accessing the platform, you can reach out to your school’s IT department. Beyond that, there aren’t many legal options other than purchasing the software.

Certain institutions, such as the community college I'm going to, restrict entry to Microsoft Imagine unless you take courses that require using their tools, like Comptia A+ or Server classes.

You might wonder why anyone would consider skipping the cost of software. It seems unfair given how much effort goes into creating these products. Treating them as something to take for free feels like taking advantage, regardless of the reasoning. Would you ever take meat from a local butcher without paying? It’s just as reasonable.
