Hello, you're planning to upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium Trial to Windows 10 via Professional edition. It's possible to do this, though you'll need to purchase the Windows 10 license separately. As for gaming, Windows 10 offers better performance, newer features, and improved compatibility with modern games compared to older versions.

Windows 7 Pro can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, offering the main benefit of Direct X 12 support. Keep in mind that not all games run smoothly on Windows 10.

Windows versions beginning with Home Premium can be upgraded to Windows 10 without cost. This option remains available for all licensed devices, similar to other systems. Many games and programs are built for Windows, which explains why they receive the most focus due to their widespread use. In terms of speed, there aren't significant performance improvements.

Are all your files removed after updating? I'm still in the trial, so I'm using Windows 7 Home → 7 Pro → Windows 10.

You decide which features to retain during an upgrade, and it's wise to move to Windows 7 Pro before switching to Windows 10.

Once the upgrade is complete and your files remain safe, perform a fresh installation as a precaution.
