Downloading Windows 10 won’t stop your support for Windows 7, so it should still work with it.

When installing Windows 10 forcibly, expect driver problems. Microsoft is preventing updates for devices with faulty drivers under that version. The "Get Windows 10" tool will inform you about this situation; if not, it may indicate updates are coming in phases—wait or proceed with the install.
