You're looking at a solid setup with modern components. For Windows 10 preview 10074, ensure you have the latest compatible drivers for your ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2 motherboard, Corsair RAM, and Samsung EVO SSD. Check the official manufacturer websites or trusted third-party sources for the most reliable support. Stability on this build is generally good, but always verify compatibility with the latest firmware updates.

I wouldn't rely on a technical preview for my primary computer since they tend to be unstable and might cause crashes unexpectedly.

It's smarter to purchase version 8.1 and then upgrade at no cost. It offers greater security since it doesn't monitor your activities like some systems in Windows 10. Upgrading will probably provide better driver support compared to older versions.

Windows 10 should function smoothly on your PC without issues. For components not automatically installed by W10, use Windows 8.1 drivers. Regarding stability, it's a Beta release—technical preview only. The system may crash unexpectedly, become corrupted, or lose local files if things go wrong. It could also perform perfectly. If you're an experienced tech person with IT training or advanced skills, and you're comfortable troubleshooting both software and hardware, proceed with installing the Windows 10 update.

they monitor your activities in win 10? The upgrade from win 8.1 will cost just one year, right? After that you’ll have to pay... I’d rather get it when it’s released.

Windows 10 issues with older versions like Win8 or 8.1. Updating drivers is the best solution unless you're installing a new version instead of upgrading.

I'm setting up a new installation on Windows 10 and need information about the drivers. I've already downloaded the 8.1 drivers, but I want to confirm if there are any additional ones required.

I've been running tests in VMWare for a few weeks now and everything is working fine.
