I recently switched to Windows 10 but noticed my CPU speeds dropped to 1.79 GHz, down from 2.70 GHz in Windows 8.1. What steps can I take to restore smooth performance?

Have you explored adjusting the Power and sleep configurations? Consider selecting "High performance" if you haven't done so yet.

I can't directly run benchmarks or post pictures while Task Manager is open. However, you can manually start Task Manager and then perform your benchmark tests and take screenshots during that session.
