The issue began when the Microsoft Store stopped functioning and PowerShell attempts caused the Start menu to be removed. You've tried a workaround but it didn't resolve the problem. Consider checking if the appxpackages are properly registered or reinstalling them if needed.

I searched online solutions and tried the PowerShell command you mentioned, but it triggered an error. I attempted to disable development mode and register the app manifest, though it didn’t resolve the issue. It seems I’m stuck without being able to fix the problem.

There are methods to update Windows with minimal disruption, it involves entering safe mode, I’ll check for a suitable link.

The CMD window was run by an administrator. Right-click and select "run as admin".
