I noticed several updates for Windows 10 that have been waiting on my PC for a while. The main concern is whether it’s worth upgrading now. Besides the mention of Microsoft Defender Application Guard for Office, there doesn’t seem to be another clear reason to proceed. What are your thoughts?

Several applications combined into a single version, and some system details were swapped with settings options. I didn’t install them for a valid reason. Updating doesn’t help much, similar to MS Edge.

I generally refresh my Windows every three months. Monthly updates from monthlu seem unnecessary since they don’t offer anything fresh.

Touché. Just check updates regularly, roughly once a month. Think it’s safer that way. It looks like half say I should, others say not or don’t know. If I count myself in, three people say no.

It only brought joy to Windows and changed its output to display "20H2" rather than the old version. I don't want that number or year because in 2004 the G4 stopped, OS X 10.3 came out (a frustrating OS), Apple started considering moving away from PowerPC.

The latest release leans more toward a Service Pack approach. The next one expected in February/March (21H1) follows a comparable pattern. Microsoft aimed to refine Windows 10 and concentrate on its upcoming OS, Windows 10X—targeting Chromebooks and new device formats. No, it won’t supersede Windows 10. Version 21H2 will bring significant GUI enhancements and further improvements to Windows 10 (details to follow...). Project name: Sun Valley

If everything runs smoothly, I’d delay any action until it’s safe. This allows developers more time to resolve all the bug fixes.

That’s the top result you were looking for! 😄 I’m glad it matched what you needed.
