Win11 stop code.
Win11 stop code.
I have been using Win 11 for around 12 months now, upgraded from Windows 10. I thought I had completed all the necessary steps. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA AB 350M Gaming3, and the GPU is a Directx12 compliant GTX1650. The RAM is 16GB at 3200MHz. At the time of installing Win 11, the CPU was a Ryzen 5 1700, which is now an R5 2500 about 6 months ago. Everything seemed okay until four days ago when the BSD reported an error: <Clock Watchdog Timeout>. Recently, I checked the recommended fixes on www.windows.com/stopcode. After reviewing possible reasons, one issue stood out: TPM was not present or wasn’t enabled in the BIOS. I verified the BIOS and found it, but it wasn’t activated. Despite this, the header was detected, though there was no TPM. I searched for a TPM and found Gigabyte recommends a TPM 2 with a 20-1 pin configuration. I looked through comments, but it’s unclear if it’s a working solution. What is the best TPM to use for this board?
Restart the computer and quickly press the "DEL" key to access BIOS. Move to "Advanced Options" (press F2), then go to "Settings," select "Miscellaneous" or "Peripherals," and choose "AMD CPU fTPM." Enable it. Return to "Save and Exit," then restart. If the version isn't listed, you might need to update BIOS for Windows 11 compatibility. Your motherboard may have specific procedures, but knowing your BIOS revision is important.
in the motherboard bios it should display one of these numbers
update your amd chipset driver first
check the support page for details
Cannot enable TPM. The only one highlighted is "Clear TPM". From previous owner, I assume.
Bios Ver F51h. I’m not in favor of updating the BIOS. It worked once before, but that was a long time ago and on an older machine. BSD is now common, especially when I activate those small tools that guide me during chipset driver updates. Also encountered a trojan warning while trying. Should I have blocked it because it was a very precise message? My antivirus protection is at 360 percent.
