I have Thunderbird on my old Win 7 PC and wanted to copy its profile settings over to a new Dell laptop, but I can't figure out where the special folder goes. I know it should be inside User\Roaming\Thunderbird Profiles, but I can't find it on my Win 11 computer. I tried opening the Control Panel and just typed in C:\Users\appdata\. Nothing showed up. Even though I installed Thunderbird, why isn't that folder there? I checked Help/Troubleshooting under the hamburger menu, but those steps don't work for me either.

If you installed Thunderbird without adding a brand new profile, the special folders that hold your data won't be there yet. Even on Windows 7, 8, or 10, Thunderbird starts looking in places like "C:\Users\<your login name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles" by default. The AppData folder itself is hidden by default.
