Yes, the US/China tariff changes could lead to improved or lower GPU availability for the UK. You should be able to purchase a more affordable RTX 5090 soon.

It's possible the supply might rise slightly, though I'm skeptical about price changes. They may actually increase because Americans could buy the cards directly from the EU or UK, which have lower tariffs.

No, that's incorrect. The tariffs depend on the manufacturing location, not the purchasing country. For instance, Reddit DHL is seeing many complaints about items like UK dresses ($214 for a $140 purchase) or Australian towels ($98 for an $80 purchase) because they weren't made in those regions.

Businesses often take certain items and bring them into the country, where they finish a small part of the work, then add some decorative touches to make it look like it was made right here. My tools are labeled "made in Romania," but the actual pieces come from China.

Again, it’s not about how things function. Understand what “significant change” means. A UK buyer can’t bring in a 5090 from China, add some heatsinks, repackage it, and market it as “Made in the UK.”
Drill parts are manufactured in China, but the major shift from raw components to finished drills occurs in Romania, allowing labeling as “Made in Romania.”
If you imported mostly assembled drills, you’d be dishonest by claiming they were made locally to avoid tariffs.
No one in the UK or elsewhere wants to put together graphics cards from scattered parts or falsify COO information to help US customers save money.

It depends on the specific laws in each country. In Romania, it does apply. Installing a ready-made harness into a molded plastic part seems different from adding a PCB into a metal casing. The UK being outside the EU also affects this.

Generally, it's the importing country's regulations that matter when determining COO for tariffs, not the exporter's side. Interesting.
I thought you meant you collected all components—motor, chuck, trigger, wiring loom, gears, etc.—from different Chinese suppliers and built the drill yourself. I didn't purchase a ready-made harness, just added a plastic casing and labeled it "Made in Romania." So, in my view, it doesn’t change much.
Also, it’s not about me having to prove your clever strategy for selling GPUs at a lower price in the US is acceptable. The US CBP makes those decisions. You need to convince them.

The tariffs aren't impacting the 5090 sales much, and if I spend 3K on a GPU, I might be able to afford 5K as well.
