Will the Gigabyte RTX 2060 graphics card be compatible?
I have a Lenovo H50-55 Desktop PC that I am upgrading. I understand I can fit a Gigabyte 1660 graphics card in the case, but would it be feasible to install the RTX 2060 graphics card with some adjustments? The motherboard is a B 550M DS3H and the CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600x. Is this a reasonable distance? Regards
The motherboard is unlikely to fit this case. Lenovo's components are exclusive, and the GPU type isn't crucial as long as the dimensions match.
As long as you satisfy two or three conditions, you can use any GPU that comes with the system.
The PSU isn’t the main issue.
There are no clearance problems in your setup.
Your motherboard has a PCIeX16 slot ready for a GPU.
If the PSU was included with the pre-built unit, how recent is it? Which specific card are you considering?
I’m worried about the design of the case potentially causing damage.
Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should.
Hey there,
The answer lies in adding another case. You can find some solid options for $60-100. It's smarter to secure the case now, and then expand or upgrade the parts to maintain relevance.
Lian li 216 is decent. I own a 215. It also offers excellent airflow. There are plenty of choices available. Perhaps someone could suggest if you have a specific budget in mind.
As per
@Lutfij,
a new power supply might be necessary.
With a fresh case, you won't have to worry about compatibility, no matter which card you select.
These issues have been addressed in your previous discussions too.
Learning is definitely commendable, regardless of age.
Repeating the same questions over and over isn't the point.
Good luck.
