I recently assembled my first build featuring: an i7-127000k Asus ROG B660 motherboard with WiFi D4, 16GB RAM, G-Skill DDR4, a Gigabyte RTX 3080 OC 500GB NVMe SSD, and a SanDisk 2TB SSD. I installed Windows 10 64x Home Ver 21H2 after facing difficulties during the initial setup. Once everything was updated, I encountered persistent boot issues—system would not post even after restarting. During installation, the motherboard displayed light sequences before stabilizing to green and white indicators. I suspected a GPU-related problem, so I repositioned the GPU multiple times and verified all connections. Despite these efforts, post-boot failures persisted whether the monitor was on or off; diagnostic lights remained inactive when the system was powered on. After testing different GPU ports and switching between DP and HDMI, no improvement occurred. I also experimented with swapping RAM slots, changing positions from 1&3 to 2&4 several times without success. This situation is frustrating but not overly damaging. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've encountered a comparable problem, likely tied to Microsoft's handling of sleep mode and power-up procedures. A "fast startup" setting might trigger GPU misfires during boot. Turning it off appears to offer some relief, though I haven't confirmed if it fully resolves the wake-from-sleep issue yet. Currently, the video won't play at startup. https://www.4winkey.com/windows-10/windo...-mode.html

Disabling Fast Startup can also be achieved by holding Shift while pressing Shutdown in the start menu. This avoids needing to open Control Panel. Useful tip for testing EDIT: If you restart even with Fast Startup enabled, the system performs a complete shutdown as though it were disabled. Fast Startup works only after the machine has been powered off and not restarted. Edited June 3, 2022 by Uptivuptiz Added more info
