you're facing a common issue with Windows 7 on an OEM system. Since the OS and essential files are stored on drive C, you'll need to reinstall or restore them before upgrading your motherboard. Your games are on drive D, which is separate from C—make sure it's properly mounted and accessible. When you connect your new HDD, ensure it's recognized and formatted correctly. Upgrading the CPU and RAM won't affect your game files directly, but you'll need to reinstall or transfer them during the OS reinstall process.

You have the option to retain or delete files, relocate preferred games to C and clear every other drive.

The game files are stored on another drive, so Windows installation won't affect that specific drive.

Choose Windows 10 unless you're still unsure. However, as mentioned earlier, transfer your files to a backup location and reinstall the C drive.

All your game files are stored on the D: drive, which functions as a physical hard disk rather than a partitioned one.

You should be fine after reinstalling C on a new operating system.

I'm unsure about the specific point you're referring to. Could you clarify what you meant?

Documents are fine. Installing games and software often requires doing it again. If you're using games, consider adding a new library folder to Origin, Battle.net, and Steam.

Sure, you might want to try a fresh install, but your games should be intact since they’re still saved. The download time seems really slow.
