I'm planning to upgrade to an i7 10700k and wanted to know if my existing 750 watt power supply can handle overclocking the CPU to 5.1 GHz without issues. Current setup includes a 1080ti with 11GB, 32GB DDR4 3600 MHz RAM, the i7 10700k, and a Gigabyte z490 vision G, all powered by a 750 watt thermal power supply.

Thermal take Smart isn't ideal; consider swapping it out. Avoid using top-tier hardware with a budget PSU.

Thermal take Smart isn't a suitable choice; consider swapping it out. Avoid using top-tier hardware with a low-end power supply.

whether 750 watts is sufficient depends on your setup and cooling capabilities. It should be adequate if your system can handle the heat from your high-end components.

A decent 650w power supply would suffice, yet a 750w model provides additional capacity and only adds a small price difference.
