Hi, I'm not turning off my PC at all... just letting it sleep overnight. I haven't used a USB hub before, so if I keep the hub connected 24/7 to the PC, will it still detect the hub when I wake it up from sleep? Also, does leaving the hub connected continuously cause it to overheat? Thanks!

You don't have to be concerned about this.
My USB Hub is consistently recognized when my PC resumes from sleep.
It only becomes slightly warm during the entire day when I use the PC, even without any devices connected.

I intend to purchase a USB hub powered by a MANY THANKS for the info...
Can it simultaneously power up one external SSD and one external HDD? If not, what about two external SSDs together?
Also, I wonder if data can be transferred between the two connected storage devices.

okay................many thanks again................i'm looking at UNpowered ones becoz i rarely need to use the USB Hub...........
how about those USB expansion cards that you put inside a PC ?......are they better and more reliable + durable ??

USB expansion cards are fine, I've used them before, but they don't seem better or more dependable than a hub. With a hub, you can relocate it between PCs, either now or later. It's simpler and requires less effort—just connect it in.
