You need to adjust your XMP settings so they match your CPU's actual clock speed of about 4.1 GHz.

Even though it may slow down slightly at 1080p, it still offers smoother performance compared to higher resolutions. A bottleneck doesn’t always indicate poor performance. You’ll benefit more from additional RAM—8GB is often insufficient nowadays.

Thanks! Seems like proceeding is a good idea, though I'll start with RAM first.

Your processor is solid for gaming. Upgrading to something like the 5600X isn't necessary. The i5 8500 performs well in most titles.

You think it's an R5 5600X, but I think upgrading just the RAM would be enough. The Ryzen 5 5600X is much better than what you have now.

The i5 8500 delivers higher FPS in many games. The t5 5600x excels in multitasking, editing, and similar tasks. In general, the 5600x offers better overall value, though it isn't significantly ahead.

I'm truly disappointed, but the R5 5600X performs much better overall. It offers superior IPC, stronger single-core speed, and better multi-core capabilities. Plus, it provides more RAM.

This suggests the information isn't useful unless it improves frame rates in games. The link compares AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and Intel Core i5 8500, but the concern is about gaming performance.

The announcement for the CPU is the scheduled launch date, not the testing timeline.

I'm sorry, but the 5600x remains the stronger CPU option.
