Hey there, I'm trying to figure this out. I just upgraded my GPU to a 3060 Ti and paired it with an i5-8500. I'm curious if the CPU can keep up or if I ended up with a bad setup. When I play DayZ, my frames are high but I notice sudden lag—sometimes around 15 to 30 FPS even on low settings. I was thinking maybe the CPU and RAM are the issue, like an 8GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz Intel i5 8500 with a 3060 Ti and 6GB RAM. What could be causing this? Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure this out. I just upgraded my GPU to a 3060 Ti and paired it with an i5-8500. I'm curious if the CPU can keep up or if I ended up getting a bad card. When I play DayZ, my frames are high but I notice sudden lag—sometimes around 15 to 30 FPS even on low settings. I was thinking maybe the CPU and RAM are the issue, with an 8GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz Intel i5-8500 and a 3060 Ti. It's a bit surprising, so any advice would be great! Thanks!

Yes, it's a single-channel RAM module (only one stick).

The processor shouldn't slow things down, particularly when using 1440p or better. Consider adding 16GB of memory; the suggested amount for Day Z is 12GB.

I’ve tested several 16 gig kits but only 2666MHz is supported by the motherboard.

It seems the RAM might be the issue, not the CPU. If you genuinely believe it's the CPU, try overclocking it to check for improvement.

You're still stuck at 1080p despite your efforts.
