Hey guys, I have an Acer Nitro 5 and wanted to tell you about its build quality. It feels like plastic. My friend twisted the lid accidentally, so now I'm worried. Is it okay? How can I check if my hinges are hurt or if the screen got cracked? Will twisting damage dead pixels or make the backlight act up? What problems could happen? If anything is wrong, my laptop needs a fix.

Yes - twisting probably broke something somewhere. It could be outside, inside, visible or hidden. The force of twisting might weaken hinges and their connections to the lid or base over time. Think about how many times you've opened and closed it before; that number is a bit off by maybe five or six. So if it failed after ten tries, it's likely already weaker now than when it started. Since twisting isn't normal usage, the laptop could just crack slowly with screen issues, or suddenly snap completely and lose all your data. It might fall apart in your hands right now. I think the safest bet is to say "no" to using it yet. Get a professional repair shop to check it out immediately.

If you twist something too much, the plastic pieces, the screen, the door handles and wires inside could break or get hurt.
