Typically, connect an HDMI cable from the PC to the INPUT port on the EDID box. Then connect the same cable from the EDID box OUTPUT port to an INPUT port on the AVR. Adjust the AVR to the appropriate input source. This should display the picture on the TV and play sound from the speakers. After configuring your PC to 4k60Hz via the Windows display settings, use the "copy" button on the EDID box or set the dip switches to 4k60Hz HDR full audio if available. For additional assistance, consider providing a link to the product you bought.

I found this product. The interface in Windows sound and display settings appears correct after copying it. I can adjust the resolution and refresh rate to proper values and enable HDR. The main problem remains: the signal isn't reaching the AVR, and changing the settings with the dip switches doesn't help.

Hmm, I don't understand. Are you saying there is picture on the TV, but there is no sound playing from the AVR speakers? Are you playing back music, or movies, or? If that is the case, do you get sound from the AVR speakers if you bypass the EDID box?
The translation of the product page says "
This allows the entire HDMI device to combine the video and audio signals required for system operation. The emulator can amplify and equalize HDMI signals to provide higher video and audio quality
", so the audio should just work regardless of copying or dip switches.
Generally, connections would be:
PC => EDID box => AVR input
AVR Out => Tv Input

No, there is no picture on the TV and no sound from the speakers, even though the computer is displaying both outputs. I can observe my PC listing the AVR as a valid display device, confirming its HDR support – indicating the EDID information was correctly recorded, since this is the only method this EDID manager uses to handle HDR. I also see the sound device in my Windows sound settings and select the AVR as the output source. No audio or video appears through the speakers.

So the EDID data transfer is functioning properly, but the audio signal from the PC isn’t reaching the AVR, nor is any video output. The small LED labeled "SIG" on the box doesn’t illuminate, suggesting it’s not receiving a proper signal. It seems either the signal never reaches the AVR or the emulator is using the signal without forwarding it.

I’m uncertain about the exact reason the EDID box is bypassing the signal, but I understand that connecting the PC directly to the AVR resolves these issues, as it produces clear results without such complications.

Are you running multiple displays? Is this a laptop or desktop? What is the GPU?
If there's no picture on the TV, how can you "see (your) computer showing the AVR as a valid display device"?
If it works without the EDID box, then start looking at possible HDMI cable issues. You really need high quality HDMI cables throughout the entire chain. That would be THREE hdmi cables total. I use these with great success to get 4k 60 HDR passing:

The setup includes a desktop computer equipped with an RTX 5080 graphics card. Two additional monitors are connected, with the AVR serving as the third display device. It appears as a valid display option within Windows' System -> Display settings, matching its name, resolution, and HDR features. The behavior is consistent whether the PC is directly linked to the AVR or not. The issue likely isn't related to the HDMI cables, which are premium quality and function properly when used alone.

If you follow those steps, you'll find the display settings adjusted accordingly. Then checking the advanced options will show the current configuration. You'll notice the resolution and color settings match the expected values. It seems the EDID information might have been affected during the connection process. The LED indicator on the box appears to be working but not illuminating properly.

I've been experimenting with various things, and I notice all those details you referenced.
It seems I might be correct about the box being damaged, as I can't find any way to send a signal through anymore.
I'll check if I can return it and try again with a new one.

Eventually obtained a replacement box from the distributor, confirming it was defective. The new unit allows signal transmission, so I receive both picture and sound on the TV. Unfortunately, when using the AVR as a sound output device on my computer, it frequently stops for a few seconds—about 3 to 5 times per minute—without any sound. The image continues to display without issues, but the audio disappears entirely. This occurs with both the copied EDID mode and the built-in 4k60Hz profile, indicating the problem isn’t related to the EDID box or the AVR itself. I’m beginning to suspect the issue stems from a low-quality or unreliable brand. Although the AVR handled audio without problems when connected directly last time, it seems the cable between the box and the AVR might not support the required bandwidth for a 4K60Hz 4:4:4 HDR signal. I’m planning to test a better cable to see if it resolves the problem without audio drops.
