Here are my current PC details:
CPU: Intel i7 6700k @ 4.00 GHz (not overclocked)
Graphics: Zotac GTX 970 (not overclocked)
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 (2 x 8GB, dual channel, XMP 2400 MHz)
Motherboard: Asus E3 Pro Gaming V5
Power Supply: Corsair CS 750M
Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
Monitor: AOC E2180SW
Assembled in 2016.
I’m planning to run the latest and next-gen games on ultra for the next few years, aiming for stunning visuals. Any recommendations?

Understood. It's challenging to predict how the coming years will unfold concerning physical core usage in games, especially with the new console offering eight cores. Nonetheless, you definitely need a new GPU now, and it should work with any other system upgrades you might need in the near future.
Speaking of which, I wouldn't suggest investing in scalpers; you should wait a bit longer for GPU stock to settle. Unless you're lucky and find one at the MSRP, just avoid purchasing RTX 3080 images on eBay.
