Not sure if this has been discussed before, but before spending money that could be wasted, is there a way to set up a network using Wi-Fi between your PC and other devices? I don’t have the ability to connect directly to the router, and my PC already gets the strongest signal from my devices. This would be just a temporary solution until I can create a reliable personal network at home.
Confirming your goal: connecting the router's Wi-Fi to your PC, adding devices to another network, or transforming your PC into a Wi-Fi extender, or using Wi-Fi for PC-to-router connectivity followed by a hardwired Ethernet switch.
Share the method by providing a clear guide instead of trying to rebuild it. This approach also applies when using a switch.
