The PCIe Wi-Fi card runs at 2mbps, while the USB Wi-Fi is much faster. I’ve switched to the USB version and it’s significantly quicker. It’s possible they can be used together for improved performance, though testing would help confirm.
USB connections are typically much slower compared to a solid PCIe setup. Many users make the mistake of using a PCIe port with antennas installed directly on the back of the computer, resulting in weak signal reception. Simply attaching an antenna to a cable and placing it on top can significantly improve performance, often making a noticeable difference over USB adapters.
