I own a Netgear RAX20 Wi-Fi router and whenever I power on my PC connected through Ethernet, the network goes down for a few minutes. This has been happening since about a month ago, even though I've kept the firmware updated. My wife is getting frustrated every time it occurs, so I decided to look for a fix.

It occurred with my MSI GS63 laptop five years ago, requiring a replacement of the Wi-Fi card. Updates didn't resolve the issue.

The router shuts down its Wi-Fi when your PC connected via Ethernet powers on. That seems unusual... Would you be able to access the router and review its logs? Look for any unusual activity around the moment the Wi-Fi stops working.
