I notice many recommendations for ASUS and Netgear, making them a reliable choice. I agree to avoid Chinese routers, but TP Link stands out as a top budget option if you're looking for something more affordable. Personally, my Synology RT2600AC works well, though it's priced around 200 USD. However, any router supporting AC or AX standards would suffice.

They suggest several Amped wireless items that perform well with signals and include detachable antennas.

No, not all routers include Chinese boards. Their design varies by manufacturer and model.

Absolutely, it's not essential for you to have a specific internet connection.

I’ve installed one of these before. It doesn’t offer all the high-end features you’d find in pricier models, but it performed well in speed and coverage. It’s also under $80 USD and uses standard AC networking. Keep in mind it’s a regular router without a built-in modem, so if you need a modem separately, you’ll have to consider a gateway or a standalone unit. Honestly, TP Link seems like the most affordable choice for this price range.
