Recently, my mom purchased a new apartment where I live. However, we couldn't install any Ethernet cables because everything was renovated already. Now, my internet provider has set up a Wi-Fi repeater in my room. I'm curious whether connecting my PC and the repeater will still provide good ping for gaming, or if it would be better to get a wireless network card instead. Apologies if this question fell outside the right category.

Probably, it won’t perform as well as using a direct connection, but the best way to test its quality is by connecting an Ethernet cable.

It operates in the 5.0GHz frequency range and with strong signal quality, latency should be acceptable. The overall data capacity won’t match an Ethernet connection, but ping performance will be quite close.
