Hello! I need a Wi-Fi repeater. My current Netgear EX3700 is having problems—many disconnections and slow performance. I’ve checked online, but most range extenders require connecting to the router first. I’m looking for one that can join my existing network and broadcast it to a new one. It should work outdoors, and I’d like to connect via Ethernet to my desktop since it doesn’t have a built-in Wi-Fi card. I’ve found some options on Amazon, but some seem to need a cable from the router to them. What should I consider?

Don't purchase TPLINK, they're not reliable. My "alpha" model is a Chinese version of generic but performs well—stays hot, maintains strong connection, and offers low latency consistently.

Repeaters halve your data speed. Slowness will remain an issue.
