Received fresh prebuilt system for the holidays. During startup, no WiFi options were detected for Windows 11 setup. Checking online, I’m unsure if the PRIME B550-K supports WiFi. If it does, I need clarification on Ethernet functionality and whether my motherboard actually has WiFi—any guidance would be really appreciated.

Ethernet uses a cable—connect it to the motherboard’s Ethernet port. One side goes into your router, the other into the computer. If your PC isn’t near the router, Wi-Fi is probably the better choice; note that the motherboard doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi. You’ll need either a USB Wi-Fi adapter or a PCIe Wi-Fi adapter; the USB option is simpler and likely the safest choice.

They suggest it’s simpler to link remotely rather than physically run an Ethernet cable over the same length.

Closer signals are better. Many people prefer not to lay cables everywhere, so this is what I was talking about. If someone can install a wire, they should. However, if the PC isn't near the router, Wi-Fi might be a better choice.
