Hey everyone, hope you're doing well. I've just relocated to a new work place where I get temporary accommodation. My room has a computer and a laptop, and a reliable internet connection is crucial. Since there are no Ethernet ports, I rely on the Wi-Fi in my room. My laptop works fine with the nearby network, but I think my PC struggles to connect due to distance and weak signal. The only desk available means I can't reconfigure anything. I'm looking for some Wi-Fi adapters that would work with my PC to access the shared accommodation network. It's a bit like trying to connect to free Wi-Fi at a café. Thanks in advance for your help!

Based on my experience, this device offers a solid range and consistent performance. It supports WiFi5, which is great for modern connections. While I haven’t tried it yet, the brand is well-respected in penetration testing and cybersecurity communities. The packet injection feature is included but probably not essential for most users.

The WiFi antennas are connected directly to the back of the motherboard. Cases can interfere with the signal, so swapping them for a wired connection might improve performance.

Have you explored powerline adapters? They leverage the existing electrical wiring in your home for Ethernet connections. The effectiveness relies on the wiring condition, and both the router and connected devices must share the same circuit. They perform exceptionally well for me, which is why I suggest them. A clear example, not tied to a particular model.

I'm currently not connected to a PC. The internet comes through a Wi-Fi access point, just like in a café—no network access available.

Certain cards might link straight to the one behind the PC. Others are attached to a cord that you can adjust. Identify the right ones.

Absolutely, it's fully connected and located on the computer.

Consider trying a different antenna. That would be the simplest option.
