I've faced this challenge before. I have two Wi-Fi hotspots close together, each from a different ISP. One is dedicated to my work (Network A), the other serves the rest of the family (Network B). I prefer Network A for my devices but still use Network B occasionally for accessing files on my old laptop. Network B tends to lose connection frequently—especially during work hours—and it's not reliable for professional tasks. The problem is that my laptop keeps switching back to Network B when it should stay on Network A. It’s not a big deal when the connection is stable, but the frequent drops (like 600 instances of RTO and several lasting over three minutes) disrupt my workflow. I also noticed the Connect automatically option was off for Network B, while it's enabled for Network A. I sometimes forget to switch back during work hours to avoid frustration, but it’s not a perfect solution since I still use that network outside work. Have others encountered similar issues? Any tips or workarounds would be appreciated.

regrettably, this would be challenging for me because I don’t have a budget-friendly access point and no scheduling capability.

Adjust the adapter settings to minimize roaming behavior as much as possible.

I tried it but haven’t tested its effectiveness yet because I’m not at home right now. Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll let you know once I’m back at home.
