Hey everyone, my home office PC is linked straight to an Asus RT-AC68U (Merlin). Whenever I start a game, all Wi-Fi connections vanish and don’t come back until I stop playing. I’ve tested it several times and it’s perfect 5/5. Checked the router logs – they show intense activity right before any game starts. There are lots of errors logged, like disconnections and authentication issues. I tried launching big files or games (like 40GB+) on YouTube, Teams, Discord, or Teams, but only problems appear when I play games. FS2020 works fine, but Xplane is unpredictable, happening during flights or random times. Anyone know what’s going on? This has been a big challenge for months!

Have you explored the QoS configurations? Are you connecting via a VPN?

QoS remains active, functioning as a "Bandwidth Limiter" without restricting any devices. VPN setup works—router acts as a VPN, and testing both on and off shows consistent problems.

If enabled, you'll find controls available, possibly allowing you to include the programs causing the issue.

Attempted to activate the port trigger for Project cars 2 but no improvement was seen. Updated firmware to the newest release, yet it reported failure and started logging frequent wifi disconnections every second. Now I’m unable to connect any wifi device consistently; everything keeps dropping once connected.

It turned out a specific node was the issue. I disabled it and everything is now functioning normally again.

It turned out to be a UDP configuration in project cars 2 leading to excessive packet transmission. I reduced the sending rate, and everything functioned smoothly! Appreciate your support!
