Hello everyone. My family and I are using an Amplifi Alien Wi-Fi router for our home internet, along with managing a few wired clients. We've encountered a couple of problems recently. First, there was a period where the router's memory would suddenly fill up and then shut down completely, interrupting our internet until it restarted. This issue has stopped now, but we're still trying to figure out what triggered it. Our guess is it might be related to an old airport time capsule being used as a managed switch in our basement entertainment area—this disappeared when we took it off. As for why it was happening, that's unclear. Second, we rely heavily on HomeKit gadgets, mostly controlled by a Raspberry Pi running Hoops. We still face problems with devices disconnecting unexpectedly and then reconnecting. The most affected are Logitech Circle View cameras. We have 63 wireless devices and 11 wired ones connected. The central hub occasionally switches devices around. Our main entertainment device, an Apple TV in the living room (connected via Ethernet to the basement switch), usually stays active. However, it randomly moves to a different Apple TV in the master bedroom that only has a weak Wi-Fi signal. We're hoping to stabilize our HomeKit setup so the Amplifi router can still connect those devices from another network. We've tried updating the Homekit setup, disabling certain Wi-Fi protocols, keeping Hoops updated, and even set up a second 2.4GHz network, but it hasn't worked well.
